Hi Folks,

just a quick update,

My feet are still very painful and swollen, fatigue has returned with a VENGEANCE but am still working and have only had 3.5 days off so far.

Got another absence Review meeting next tuesday where my report from the Occ Therapist will be discussed.

My GP has referred me to the Occ Health as i am finding things at home getting more difficult, ie getting out the bath, going up and down stairs, lifting pans etc.

Still haven't had an apt for my insoles to be made, so am constantly chasing the Rhuemmy Dpt.

Hope you are all well and pain free

Trace xx

Tracey, sounds like you are still going through it. As for your abscence review meeting, the occ health will sort them out.
Your GP referring you to Occ Therapy will help too, I have someone coming to us on Monday for a review for both me and my husband.
Your insole appt shouldnt take too long, they're usually quite quick here, I go to Guys at London Bridge.
Let us know how you are doing, but believe me, if you feel ill, achy, tired in pain, you wont help yourself by working, I make that mistake all the time!!
Sending you ((((((((hugs)))))))

Hi everybody,

Well, I didn't make it to my Absence Review as I had to phone in sick with pain on the tuesday morning. By Weds evening I was in hospital again in debilitating pain brought on by a water infection. I spent a week in hospital for pain relief and in order to get infection under control. I had to change anti-biotics 3 times.

My CRP count was over 300, which validates the level of pain, I was absolutely gobsmacked when the Dr told me that.

I am to start the fusion process over the next couple of months.

The Occ Therapist from Rhuemmy is coming to see me 7th Nov and am looking forward to that to help make things easier......I hope.

I hope this finds you all well and pain free

Trace xx

Hi
Sorry to read you got so poorly again- that crp up there is nasty- not sure mine was ever quite the same after being v high and doesn't ever get below 30
Apparently this shows a strong immune response and so your body was working hard at ridding yourself of infection

I'm still in hosp
Anyway
Much love- keep your chin up- well smile trying anyway!

Hi Tracey

I m sorry to hear that you have been having such a terrible time, I wondered how things were going recently as you haven t be posting.

Hope all goes well with the occupational therapists, I m sure they will help to make life a little better for you at home. Good to know you will be starting the infusions in the near future so that they can start getting the inflammation under control as well, my goodness a CRP of 300 I thought mine was high at 104 !

Hope you are feeling a little bit better now, thinking of you.

hi Trace,

sorry to hear you had to go into hospital for a UTI.

i've been plagued with one for the best part of 6 months, it's a low trace one and doesn't show much if it's sent off to the Hospital Lab .. just in the dip stick at my Surgery.

i've had lots of Anti-Biotics which almost gets rid of it but not quite, seems UTI are difficult to get rid of with RA Meds.

hope the Occ Therapist is helpful to you,

Evening Ladies,

Thank you all for your support and kind words, they really keep me going.

Touch wood, I'm feeling 'ok' at the moment, still in pain, but not as bad, but I have had something to help take my mind off my own pain.

My mum and dad returned from their dream holiday from Egypt last week, mum has a DVT, so poor mum has had to have injections everyday which Dad is now doing. They were both at my house when the nurse came to teach me to do mine, so Dad already knew roughly how to administer them.

My poor Mum went into shock and still is I think. She fell into my arms when she came up to see me as she didn't know I had been in hospital, I felt it best not to tell them whilst they were away.

So on their return, they hit the ground with a hefty wallop. I think they will need another holiday to get over the shock and worry as my 2 sisters were also poorly while they were away.

My poor parentsHuh

Hope you are all pain free and well

Trace xxx
